Masi receives further recognition from one of the most respected Argentinian wine guides ‘Guia Descorchados’, which awards premium marks to the organic wines from the Masi Tupungato estate: 91/100 for Passo Blanco 2015 and 92/100 for Passo Doble 2013. Passo Blanco has also been ‘selected’ as being amongst the best white wines in the Mendoza region.
The Passo Doble, recently awarded a Golden Medal by the German magazine Selection, is an archetypal example of the Masi Tupungato range of wines from Argentina. Like Passo Blanco and Corbec, it is the fruit of a combination between the exuberant local grape, Malbec, and the elegant variety, Corvina, which, though indigenous to the Veneto, is also cultivated there.
